Abstract Submission Information
The Initial Submission window has now closed. While the system is now closed to new submissions and edits to existing work, you can still enter the system to review your work.
There will be a Late-Breaking Abstracts period and that window will open on 3/1/2021 and close 3/31/2021 using the same website address as linked above.
RULES AND REGULATIONS: Only one paper or poster may be read or presented by the same author at the Meeting, although a presenter may be a co-author of any number of papers. The material must not have been published prior to submission of the abstract or presented at any national meeting prior to the date of presentation at the SID Annual Meeting. Simultaneous submission of the same abstract to other meetings is prohibited.
There is a limit of 2,300 characters for the text of your abstract submission (title, authors, institutions, abstract body and all space will be counted).
PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACTS: All abstracts will be published in a May 2021 supplemental issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID). The abstracts will also be available via links on the SID website approximately mid-late April 2021. Late-Breaking Abstracts will be published in a to be determined Fall 2021 issue of the JID.
ABSTRACT FEE: The publication/processing fee is $50 US and must be paid via the internet at the time of submission.
PRESENTATION: After the abstract submission deadline, all abstracts will be reviewed by the 2021 SID Committee on Scientific Programs, plus two independent reviewers for each topic category. Abstracts will be programmed into the following session types:
- Plenary (Oral) Abstract Sessions
- Concurrent (Oral) Mini-symposium Sessions
- Select e-Poster Discussions (Oral)
- Poster Presentations
Most abstracts (if accepted) will be presented as posters. Updates on who will be required to present posters will soon be made available…
