2024 Travel Grants

The SID will be providing four (4) different travel grants to support participation to the 2024 SID Annual Meeting.

THE FOLLOWING TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO CHOOSE FROM
  1. Presenting Author Applicants
  2. Underrepresented Minorities Applicants
  3. Developing Country Applicants
  4. North American, Canadian, Mexican, South American Applicants

1)  PRESENTING AUTHOR APPLICANTS
The following individuals are eligible to apply
  • Residents in Dermatology and other medical fields;
  • Pre- and Post-Doctoral Fellows
  • Medical and Graduate students
  • Lab Technicians
  • Junior faculty who demonstrate extreme financial need.
Guidelines applicant must follow
  • Applicant must be the presenting author on an abstract submitted to the 2024 SID Annual Meeting
  • The abstract must be submitted for oral presentation consideration
  • Follow this link (COMING OCTOBER 2023) to access the application form
  • If you choose to complete this form outside of the abstract submission system, please note your Abstract Control ID on the application
  • Once complete, please send to abstracts@sidnet.org with the subject line indicating that it is for a Travel Grant Application
  • You also can access the form online with the AbstractCentral website system (Step 3 – Presentation)

2)  UNDERREPRESENTED MINORITY* (URM) APPLICANTS
The following individuals are eligible to apply
  • Residents in Dermatology and other medical fields;
  • Pre- and Post-Doctoral Fellows;
  • Medical and Graduate students;
  • Lab Technicians;
  • Junior faculty who demonstrate extreme financial need.

*Our working definition of a URM is someone whose racial or ethnic makeup is from one of the following: African American / Black, Asian: Filipino, Hmong, or Vietnamese, Hispanic / Latinx,  Native American / Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian / Other Pacific Islander, or two or more races when one or more are from the preceding racial and ethnic categories in this list.

3)  DEVELOPING COUNTRY APPLICANTS
The following individuals are eligible to apply
  • Residents in Dermatology and other medical fields
  • Pre- and Post-Doctoral Fellows
  • Medical and Graduate students
  • Lab Technicians
  • Junior faculty who demonstrate extreme financial need.
  • An individual should be from the country that we have identified as being a developing country.  Link to Developing Country List
Guidelines applicant must follow
  • Applicant must be the presenting author on an abstract submitted to the 2024 SID Annual Meeting
  • The abstract must be submitted for oral presentation consideration
